January Horoscopes for each sign and a look at the transits for 2025

Happy New Year! 🎉

As I write this from far northern Sweden, where the night stretches on a little longer than usual, it feels especially fitting that we are in New Moon phase starting off this New Year. As the Moon sidles into Aquarius shortly (New Year’s Day afternoon), we’re invited to think outside the box, embrace change, and look toward the future.

January Horoscopes 2025

For your personalized horoscopes, read below and be sure to check both your Rising sign and Sun sign for a fuller picture of what's in store for you this month.

I’ll kick things off with the key astrological events you’ll want to keep an eye on—those are the dates and transits that could really shape the month ahead. After that, I’ll walk you through each sign’s horoscope, covering both January's energy and offering a sneak peek into 2025’s cosmic shifts. If you want to go straight to your horoscope scroll down!

There are a few main transits to be aware of over the next month. To wit:

Ritzy Venus will be in detached Aquarius for the first few days of the month. Thoughts of romance won’t be champagne light and bubbly, but more heavy, like a Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from the cup of love responsibly around now.  “I need space” is Aquarius’s motto. Perhaps you or someone dear to you might need a bit of it, too, when it comes to romance. On the 3rd, Venus then switches over into dreamy Pisces. This is a much nicer time to declare your feelings for someone.

Venus in Pisces (January 3rd to February 4th)

When Venus is in Pisces, she’s in her element—glowing, radiant, and at her most magical. Love feels softer, creativity flows, and everything Venusian—romance, beauty, art—feels effortless and enchanting.

But. On January 19, Venus crosses paths with Saturn, the cosmic taskmaster. Saturn doesn’t do fluff—he’s all about structure, limits, and hard truths. This meetup can feel like hitting pause on the romance and whimsy. The vibe shifts from dreamy to grounded, and Venus under Saturn’s gaze can feel a little… restricted.

So from January 19 to 24, the cosmos throws a little cold water on Venusian magic. This isn’t the time to ask for big favors or make grand romantic gestures. With Saturn’s no-nonsense energy in the mix, things can feel a bit heavy. Venus, usually radiant, dims slightly under Saturn’s stern gaze.

Instead of pushing forward, take this time to reflect, reassess, and focus on what’s solid and real in your relationships and creative pursuits. Saturn may not bring the fun, but he’s great at helping you see what truly matters.

The good news? By January 24, Venus slips free from Saturn’s grip—and we end the month on a cosmic high. On January 31, Venus slides up next to Neptune, —planet of romance, dreams, and all-around sparkly vibes.

Here’s why this moment stands out: Venus is exalted in Pisces, meaning she’s at her most graceful and magnetic, while Neptune—Pisces' modern ruler—is in domicile, fully at home and operating at full strength. Both planets are in their ideal placements, creating a rare harmony.

What makes it even more significant is that they’re meeting at 29 degrees—the anaretic degree—marking a powerful, culminating moment. This degree carries a sense of urgency and importance, like a final chord before the song ends.

This is the last time Venus and Neptune will meet in Pisces while both are direct in our lifetime. Venus will return to Pisces in late March, but she’ll be retrograde, bringing a more reflective and internal energy. This alignment is as vibrant as it gets—so take it in while it lasts.

It’s Saturday – if you usually work weekends, consider giving yourself the day off. This is the kind of mood that asks for reading Rilke, or Keith Jarrett or Brian Eno drifting through the room, for unhurried hours in a museum, or simply giving in to whatever quiet pull feels inevitable. Clear the day, let go of the unnecessary, and leave room for something that might matter.

Venus Retrograde upcoming!

Venus is gearing up for a retrograde in exactly two months (March 1st). That means Venus is not going to make much traction through the zodiac for the next few months. Until June 6th, Venus will only be moving between two signs—Pisces and Aries—which is highly unusual, given that she typically zips through each sign in about three weeks. This is a big deal, especially if you’re a Pisces or Aries Sun, Moon or Rising , (or have Venus in either of those signs).

Venus retrograde will also have a big impact on Taurus and Libra (both signs ruled by Planet Love). And if you're the type who's a hopeless romantic, deeply attuned to Venus' every move, mark your calendar: from March 1 to April 12, expect this retrograde to stir up significant changes in love, relationships, and personal values. It might even be the time when you finally commit to your own desires and redefine what matters most to you.

This Venus Retrograde is taking us back to the period from March 2 to April 15, 2017. You know how these cycles always seem to circle back around, and while we’re definitely a little smarter the second time around, it’s a good idea to take a peek at old emails, photos, or just think about what was going on in your life back then. It’s like a cosmic cheat sheet, giving you a sneak peek into how this retrograde might show up in your world again. I’ll be diving deeper into this Venus Retrograde soon, so stay tuned!

New Moon, New Year

We end 2024 with a New Moon in Capricorn, a perfect moment to set serious intentions and get clear on your goals. New Moons are all about fresh starts, so this is a great time to put your resolutions into writing. If you didn’t have a chance to jot them down yet, don’t worry—the energy of the New Moon lingers for about 5 days so the first week of January is a great time to reflect and set your intentions.

MARS RETROGRADE IN CANCER

Ornery Mars goes into Cancer on January 6th. It is still in a prickly retrograde so this is not a Mars in a good mood. If you're a Cancer or Cancer Rising, set aside this day for some well-deserved alone time. Leos and Leo risings can breathe a sigh of relief—Mars is finally moving out of your sign for a few months. Phew!

MERCURY IN CAPRICORN

Chatty Mercury shifts into Capricorn on January 8th, where it will remain for the rest of Capricorn season. Mercury likes to speed, but being in an Earth sign slows it down. Capricorn, however, doesn’t mind this slower place. Mercury here functions more like an editor. It will force us to really think through our resolutions to make sure we mean what we say.

FULL MOON IN CANCER

A Full Moon in Cancer on January 13th invites us to celebrate, but with a more intimate, grounded energy. By this time, the holidays will be over, but Full Moons are always a chance to revel in the moment, and Cancer’s nurturing vibe is perfect for gathering close friends and family at home. This isn’t a night for wild adventures—it’s about creating a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, surrounding yourself with warmth and comfort. While the Cancer Moon offers a soft, soothing energy, Mars nearby can stir up hidden emotions, so be mindful of any triggers that might arise. If there’s anyone who tends to push your buttons, maybe keep things low-key or skip the invite. The Full Moon is a time for connection, not conflict—so embrace the peace and celebration that comes from being surrounded by those who make you feel at home.

NEW MOON IN AQUARIUS

The New Moon in Aquarius on January 27th is set to spark change, especially as it aligns with both the Sun and Pluto. This is a New Moon offers an unique opportunity to challenge your thinking, embrace new technologies, and invest in expanding your intellectual horizons. Whether you're exploring AI, advancing your tech skills, or diving into complex topics, now is the perfect moment to push boundaries and tackle anything that expands your mind. Aquarius, an Air sign, thrives on intellect and big ideas—so aim high with your goals and embrace the change this cosmic event offers. It's time to rethink what’s possible, both individually and collectively.

HOROSCOPES FOR JANUARY 2025

ARIES

January ushers in a period of deep introspection and slower-moving energy. Mars retrogrades into your 4th house of home and family on January 6th, which may stir up emotional tension but also offers a perfect opportunity for home renovation or redecoration—provided you’ve already begun the work. Mars retrograde isn’t about starting fresh; it's about revisiting and finishing what’s already in progress. If you've started any home projects in the past, now is the time to breathe new life into them. If not, use this period to plan and prepare for when Mars goes direct at the end of February, signaling the green light for full-speed progress.

On an emotional level, this is also a time for renovation. Mars retrograde invites you to reassess your family dynamics and emotional foundations, helping you gain a fresh perspective. It’s an opportunity to examine how your home environment and family life are supporting—or challenging—your emotional well-being. You may find yourself revisiting unresolved family issues or past memories in need of closure. Consider this time to clear away emotional clutter, laying a stronger foundation for the future. It's also an ideal moment to declutter your physical space, so if you haven’t done your annual purge yet, plan it for this month.

Looking ahead, 2025 is shaping up to be the year for Aries—there has never been a time quite like it. Neptune moves into Aries on March 30th, and Saturn follows in May. These two major shifts mark the start of a transformational era for you, a Renaissance of sorts. This is about more than just growth; it’s about rebirth. The path forward is yours to create, and with Neptune and Saturn pushing you to redefine yourself, the sky is the limit.

But for now, January is all about preparation and reflection. Whether it’s home projects/clear outs or emotional healing, Mars retrograde is here to help you reevaluate and finish what you’ve started. So take it slow, set your intentions, and prepare to make things happen when the planets are ready to move forward. The foundations you build now will set the stage for the radical transformations coming your way in 2025.

TAURUS

January is going to be a busy month, especially in the realm of friendships and social dynamics. Venus is moving into her exalted position in Pisces on the 3rd, which might feel like a smooth, luxurious breeze at first. Your 11th house of community, friendships, and long-term goals gets a lovely infusion of Venus energy, and things feel effortless. Everyone’s your friend, everyone’s on your wavelength, and suddenly your social life is buzzing. But before you get too dreamy about it all, some things to keep in mind.

When your ruler Venus is exalted, it’s easy to get carried away by the glow—things can feel bigger than they are, more beautiful than they might actually be. Especially in your friendships and group dynamics. If you're always the one suggesting meetups, giving more of your time and energy, or fantasizing about what certain relationships could be, Venus’ exaltation might inflate that impulse. So, while you’re all about nurturing your social circle and deepening bonds, it’s important to stop and ask yourself: are you giving too much? Are you the one putting in all the effort, while others sit back and enjoy the ride? Venus in Pisces will have you feeling generous, but don't let that generosity blind you to where you're not getting the same in return. This isn’t a time to inflate relationships that aren't truly supporting you. Balance is key—after all, as a Venus-ruled sign, you need harmony in your life, especially when it comes to how you're investing your energy.

Saturn and Venus met up on January 19th and this is a reality check day. Saturn doesn’t care about inflated dreams or rose-colored glasses; it cares about practicality, boundaries, and what's real. That’s when the universe will ask you to take a hard look at your friendships. Are you over-extending yourself? Are you maintaining healthy boundaries, or have you been over-giving? You’ll be forced to strip away the illusions about who truly deserves your time and energy. It’s not about being cynical; it's about being pragmatic about where you’re investing. This is a perfect moment to create stronger, healthier boundaries in your social life.

Uranus goes direct in your sign on January 27th, snapping you out of whatever rut you’ve been stuck in since September 1st. This is going to be most impactful for people born between May 14th and 20th or those with late degree Taurus rising (24 to 29 Degrees). This isn’t just about tweaking your look—it’s about a full-scale shift in how you move through the world. If you’ve been feeling trapped in routines that don’t fit or playing a role that’s run its course, Uranus is ready to shake the foundation. You’re stepping into a version of yourself that’s raw, real, and unapologetically different. Expect movement on projects or plans that have been gathering dust.

GEMINI

January is a bit of a cosmic puzzle for you, Gemini, but don’t stress—it’s all part of the plan. Jupiter is hanging out in your sign until June, filling you with that expansive, “the world is my oyster” vibe, but it’s in retrograde until early February. What does that mean? It’s not quite the time to rush forward with new plans or expect instant results. Instead, the retrograde is giving you the perfect opportunity to slow down, reflect, and refine what you really want. Think of this as a moment to take stock and get your ducks in a row, preparing for when things truly speed up in February. The big shifts are coming, just not quite yet.

Now, Mercury—your ruling planet—moves into Capricorn on January 8th. And Capricorn’s pace? Yeah, it’s not the quick, chatty speed you’re used to. It’s slow, steady, and serious. So, while you're usually zipping through ideas and decisions like you’re on a caffeine high, you might feel a bit like you're moving through molasses now. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Capricorn's methodical energy is asking you to take a more disciplined, long-term approach. It’s perfect for digging into the details, organizing your thoughts, and building solid plans that will serve you in the long run. No rushing, no shortcuts—just steady, grounded progress.

With Mars retrograde for all of January, things might feel like they’re moving even slower. Mars retrograde has a tendency to bring up old issues or slow down your momentum. But you’re not meant to force anything right now. January is a time to focus on reviewing, refining, and completing what you’ve already started. This isn’t the month for new, fast action—it's more about wrapping things up and being strategic.

On January 27th, Mercury finally moves into Aquarius, and that’s when things start to feel much more your tempo. Aquarius is all about innovation, big ideas, and quick thinking—suddenly, you’re back to that spark you love. Your mind will feel clearer, your ideas more fluid, and your erudite nature will be back to full swing. This shift marks a turning point for your month, so when that happens, get ready to move at your usual lightning speed. It’ll be your time to shine, make moves, and bring ideas to life.

Take advantage of January’s slower pace to prepare. Come February, when Jupiter turns direct and you’ve got Mercury in Aquarius, you’ll be able to hit the ground running.

CANCER

January starts off with a lot of focus on your relationships. With the Sun in your 7th house of partnerships until the 21st, this is a time for you to examine who you're letting in and how you're showing up for others. Whether it's love, friendships, or business connections, you're in the mood to assess where things stand and if those relationships still align with your needs. You're not here for surface-level chatter; it's time for real conversations, deeper connections, and maybe even reevaluating a few people or dynamics. Whether you're single or partnered, expect this month to put a spotlight on your ability to connect and communicate with others.

And then... here comes Mars, entering Cancer on January 6th. This transit is giving you extra energy to pour into yourself, but Mars is retrograde, so it’s not the “go-go-go” kind of energy. Think of it as a “pause and reflect” with a side of “I can’t keep my feelings contained.” If you have any planets between 17 and 29 degrees of Cancer, brace yourself. Things could feel charged, intense—like you’re wearing your heart on your sleeve, but it’s also extra powerful for transformation. If you are born from July 9th to July 22nd, this is especially true for you, so try channeling that raw, Mars-fueled energy into a project that’s all about you. Self-discovery, personal growth, or—even down the gym - just don't go too hard!

If you're a Cancer born in June or up to July 9th, you’re basically off the hook from Mars retrograde. Mars will still be transiting your 1st House but it is not going to be as intense. But the same advice applies - this is a good time to reassess what really drives you.

Then we hit January 13th, and boom, Full Moon in Cancer lands in your 1st house of self. Expect a mini emotional earthquake. You may feel more vulnerable than usual, but that’s the universe giving you a chance to release what no longer serves you. This is a perfect time for shedding old emotional baggage—especially if you’ve been holding on to anything that doesn’t feel like it’s truly yours anymore. As Mars is so close to the Moon, the usual nurturing Cancer energy is a bit more charged, so expect a slightly more intense emotional atmosphere.

As Mars is a fiery planet, and it's moving through the watery sign of Cancer—associated with the stomach—this transit could make you extra sensitive over the next two months. Beginning on January 6th, it’s the perfect time to set New Year’s resolutions focused on nurturing yourself. Be especially kind to your body, paying attention to what you're eating and noticing what agrees with you—and what doesn’t. This sensitivity also extends to your emotional responses, so pay attention to how you’re reacting to people. Trust your gut feelings, as they’ll be heightened during this time.

Finally, after January 21st, when the Sun shifts into Aquarius and your 8th house, get ready for a more introspective vibe. This energy is all about delving deep into your psyche, emotional intimacy, and anything that’s a little bit... taboo. Think of it as your personal deep dive into what really matters—no fluff, just real talk. And that New Moon on January 29th? Perfect for fresh starts in your relationships, joint ventures, and anything involving shared resources.

LEO

On January 3rd, Mars in your sign goes head-to-head with Pluto, and it’s volatile. This is the most intense day of the month, especially for early-degree Leo risings (0° to 5°) or those born between July 22nd and 29th. If you’ve been feeling like you’re on the verge of snapping—or like you just can’t deal with people—this is why. There’s a strong pull towards confrontation, cutting ties, or just feeling done with situations that aren’t serving you.

But here’s the good news—on January 6th, Mars leaves your 1st house and moves into your 12th. Translation? The fiery, combative energy you’ve been feeling starts to cool off. You shift from wanting to burn bridges to something more introspective. It’s less about lashing out and more about reflecting, recharging, and maybe even letting go without the dramatics. The second half of January feels easier, smoother—like you can finally breathe.

And while the new year (January 1st) technically starts with the Moon in Aquarius (lighting up your relationship house), it’s not exactly dripping in romance. This Moon is detached, offering more perspective than passion. Not the warmest start, but it’s perfect for gaining clarity on what you really want from your partnerships.

Here’s my advice for January: chill. Focus on the small, humdrum routines that keep you grounded. Build structure, lean into calm, and trust that the fireworks will come later—because they will. The transits ahead are packed with excitement, but January? January is for laying low and letting things settle.

January 29th is a nice day to note, when the New Moon lands in your relationship sector. If you've weathered the storm until then, it will be the perfect time for fresh starts with one-on-one connections. Whether you're healing or beginning something new, it's a great moment to set intentions for more harmonious and balanced relationships moving forward.

VIRGO

If 2025 could be summed up in one word for you, Virgo, it’s messy. And yes, I know—messy might sound like the stuff of nightmares for someone who thrives on order and precision. But hear me out. This year, the universe is calling you to loosen your grip on perfectionism and lean into the bigger, bolder, and sometimes chaotic energy that’s rolling in.

On January 12th, the South Node shifts into your 1st house, setting off an 18-month period where eclipses will be shaking up your identity and partnerships. This isn’t a subtle nudge; it’s a full-on cosmic overhaul, reshaping the way you see yourself and how you relate to others. If life has felt a little too still, trust that things are about to start moving—fast.

On January 3rd, Venus enters your 7th house of relationships, softening things a little and bringing love, connection, and partnership into focus. This transit is beautiful, but Venus doesn’t stay put—she’ll glide into Aries in February, only to retrograde back into Pisces (and your Relationship sector) in March. This means whatever relationship story begins now could feel incomplete until Venus stations direct on April 12th.

For Virgos born between September 14th and 21st, this Venus retrograde will hit home in a way that feels undeniable. A romantic or relational plotline might begin now, but the full picture won’t emerge until spring. If you’re one of these late-degree Virgos, expect this period to bring deeper questions about love, intimacy, and what you truly desire.

And remember—transits aren’t here to play favorites. They’re just movement, and movement is growth, even when it feels messy. The sweet only tastes good because you've experienced the sour. Venus retrograde might lift the veil on old wounds or stir echoes of the past, but that’s part of the dance. It’s not here to trip you up—it’s guiding you back to your heart, closer to what you actually desire. Sometimes clarity arrives in pieces, not in a perfectly wrapped bow, and that’s okay.

LIBRA

On January 12th, the South Node finally packs its bags and moves out of your sign. Can you hear the cosmic champagne cork popping? For the past two years, you’ve been hosting this karmic houseguest, and let’s be honest, it wasn't the easiest energy to have around. The South Node isn’t here to fluff your pillows; it’s the energy of release, loss, and clearing out the metaphysical closet you didn’t even know was overflowing. And while that’s important (growth and all that), it can also feel like walking around with a weighted blanket you didn’t ask for.

Breath easy as the vibe shifts on January 12th. Lighter. Airier. Like you’re finally stepping into yourself without the baggage of karmic decluttering. And those eclipses that have been crash-landing into your life since spring 2023? They’re waving their dramatic goodbyes. No more cosmic curveballs—just the steady hum of clarity returning to your orbit.

Another nice transit in Januarys starts on the 3rd when your ruling planet—Venus—glides into Pisces, where she’s positively exalted. This feels like a really nice start to 2025. Venus is at her most compassionate and expansive here—think healing, think romance that feels poetic, think doors opening with very little effort on your part.

So while the South Node has been slowly peeling back layers over the last two years, Venus is here to remind you that new growth follows release. With Venus exalted and the karmic fog lifting, you’re stepping into 2025 with a whole new vibe. Think of it as cosmic reparations for all the heaviness you’ve carried.

SCORPIO

January is giving you the cosmic green light to get your sexy back—and no, I’m not just talking about your usual moody magnetism. With Venus strutting into your 5th house of Romance, Creativity, and Sex on January 3rd, this is your time to turn up your charm. It's not just the romantic fun you’re after, it’s a full-on sensual buffet. Whether you’re twirling with a lover or flying solo, there’s irresistible energy begging you to indulge. Forget the “I’m too busy” excuse; it’s time to play.

The reason this month feels so juicy for you is that Venus is extra happy in this part of your chart, as she has her "planetary joy" here. Venus is also exalted in Pisces, meaning you're getting the highest, most elevated version of her energy. This alignment can make you feel incredibly indulgent, leaning into those hedonistic desires and embracing pleasure in all its forms. It’s not just about enjoying life—it’s also an incredibly fertile time for creating art, as the energy flows effortlessly, inspiring you to bring your creative visions to life

As French Theorist Roland Barthes said, “The desire to be loved is the last delusion: let’s abandon it and simply desire.” This January, it’s not about seeking validation or worrying about perfect outcomes; it’s about following the pull of your deepest desires, trusting that they will lead you somewhere worthwhile. Whatever you're creating—whether it’s love, art, or personal transformation—let your desires take the lead and guide you forward.

Mars, your ruling planet, retrogrades into your 9th house on January 6th, offering a opportunity to turn inward and revisit long-forgotten aspirations, lingering questions, and unfinished journeys. Travel, if it calls, may take the form of returning to places rich with personal meaning or rediscovering paths once abandoned. Now is the time to engage with old texts, rekindle distant connections, or reflect on voyages of the mind.

With Mars making a harmonious aspect to Venus, over the next few weeks, meeting someone from a foreign place or traveling to meet someone could be on the horizon. It might be the perfect time to finally make that trip to visit a friend or lover you’ve been meaning to see. Whether it’s a new connection or someone you’ve had on your mind for a while, this alignment sparks opportunities for meaningful encounters, especially through travel. Or maybe you will be making a plan to book a trip away for you and your beloved. When Mars resumes direct motion on February 24th, you’ll emerge with renewed purpose and a clearer sense of direction.

SAGITTARIUS

Usually you're the rowdy one, always off on your next adventure, but this New Year’s might feel a little more sobering than usual. You’re still the same fiery, free-spirited Sadge, but this month, the focus is more on your emotional foundations and private life. With your ruling planet Jupiter retrograde in Gemini, your 4th house of home, family, and emotional security is activated. This is a time to reflect deeply on what home and family truly mean to you. It could be about your living space, how you nurture your loved ones, or how you create a sense of stability for yourself.

Jupiter's retrograde invites you to slow down and reassess—whether that’s considering changes in your living situation, rethinking your family dynamics, or solidifying your emotional base. Real estate matters might be on the table, but this is just as much about your internal landscape—what makes you feel safe, supported, and at peace. With Jupiter in Gemini, expect a lot of mental activity around family matters, whether it’s conversations or reflecting on your past. By early February, when Jupiter goes direct, you’ll have a clearer vision of what you need emotionally. For now, take your time to get grounded and focus on the home you want to build, both literally and figuratively.

Venus moves into your 10th house of career and public life on January 3rd and stays for the rest of the month, and it's the perfect moment to shine in the professional world. Whether you’re looking for recognition, eyeing a promotion, or just want to look polished for your Zoom calls, this transit brings a boost to your public image. You might find yourself putting more effort into your appearance or engaging more actively in work-related conversations. Venus here makes it easier to charm colleagues, make good impressions, and create opportunities for success. If you're starting the year off with new professional goals, this is a great time to work your magic and position yourself for recognition.

2025 is shaping up to be all about serious relationships for you, but the real spark hits in early February when Jupiter—your ruling and lucky planet—stations direct in your one-on-one zone. Things that felt like they were moving at the pace of a painfully long text thread suddenly pick up speed. Whether it’s love, partnership, or some other “it’s complicated” situation, expect momentum. You’re stepping into a phase where connections deepen, and the universe stops ghosting you.

CAPRICORN

January is bringing you an opportunity to rethink and reenergise your relationships. It’s a month that’s all about making intentional moves to create stronger, more meaningful connections with the people around you. The Full Moon in Cancer on January 13th shines a light on your 7th house of partnerships, giving you the perfect moment to reflect on your relationships—whether it's love, business, or friendships. This is a chance to release old emotional baggage, letting go of what no longer serves you, and create space for deeper connections that align with who you are now. This is your opportunity to invite more positivity, love, and mutual respect into your life.

Mars retrogrades into your 7th house starting January 6th, and it’s going to stir the pot a little, especially in one-on-one interactions. While Mars retrograde can feel a little like trudging through molasses, it’s actually an invitation to slow down and think carefully about what you want out of your relationships. This isn’t the time for spontaneous decisions or rash moves, but rather a moment for deep reflection. Whether you’re in a partnership or single, Mars is encouraging you to be more practical about love. Channel any frustration or tension into something constructive—whether that’s exercising with a partner, taking long walks, or even just getting moving in some way. Action is key, but don’t rush. Use this time to build a solid foundation for the year ahead.

While one-on-one dynamics might need a little more patience, January is going to feel easier in group settings and with friends. Your social life is buzzing, and you’ll likely find yourself connecting with like-minded individuals more effortlessly. Whether it’s a group project or just hanging out with friends, the energy here is flowing. Lean into it. Sometimes, we find a sense of peace and joy in group settings that we don’t necessarily get in one-on-one relationships. Let this month be about enjoying connection in a broader sense.

On January 3rd, Venus moves into your 3rd house of communication, adding a touch of charm and sweetness to your interactions. Whether you're talking with colleagues, friends, or even strangers, expect conversations to feel more fluid and pleasant. Venus in this house makes you more magnetic in social situations, so get ready for unexpected compliments or those beautiful, effortless exchanges that just click.

AQUARIUS

With the Moon in your sign at the start of the year, it honestly feels like New Year's Day is all yours. When the Moon and Sun align in the same sign, it's like the universe hands you a blank notebook—fresh, unmarked, full of possibility. The first few days of the year are a perfect moment to pause and reflect on what you want to create moving forward. Emotions might be running high, but lean into that energy. It’s your chance to set intentions, break free from old patterns, and step into the new year with a clear, untainted perspective.

On January 13th, the Full Moon is going to shine its spotlight on your 6th house of health, work, and daily routines. This is your reminder to stop being lazy about your habits. If your morning routine consists of scrolling on your phone and pretending you’re busy, it might be time to rethink things. Full Moons are all about releasing what’s no longer working, so take a moment to assess your routines, health, and productivity. Work smarter, not harder.

Also, heads up—Mars is in your 7th house of relationships for the first week of January, which means your patience might be running a little thin when it comes to other people. If you’re feeling extra irritated or tense in your relationships, don’t let it get to you. Instead, channel that fiery energy into something productive—like getting your sweat on at the gym, going for a run, or doing something physical. If there’s one thing you don’t want to do, it’s sit around and stew in your feelings. Release that energy, and you’ll feel a lot more centered. Use this month to reset your habits, refresh your mind, and start building a routine that actually works for you.

You started the month with the Moon in your sign and you end it that way too. The New Moon on January 29th is the perfect time for some solo reflection—taking a step back to check in on how the first month of the year has gone. Are you on track with your intentions, or do you need to adjust your focus? This is your chance to reassess, recalibrate, and set clear goals for February. Whether it’s personal growth, career, or relationships, the Moon’s energy helps you plant seeds that will grow into 2025. This is the one New Moon of the year that falls in Aquarius so take the time to embrace the quiet, clear your mind, and realign with your deeper desires, knowing you’re closing the month with a sense of clarity and purpose.

PISCES

January is serving up some cosmic shifts that are here to guide you through a much-needed transformation. The Nodes of Destiny are on the move, asking you to move away from the solo journey and lean into the power of relationships. It’s time to step outside of your own world and ask, "Who do I want to share this with?"

Whether in love, business, or creative collaborations, 2025 is calling you to seek fulfillment through connection. It’s about finding the balance between your individuality and the shared experiences that enrich your life. Let go of the need to do it all yourself and open yourself up to the beauty of shared purpose.

Speaking of beauty, Venus waltzes into your 1st house on January 3rd, bringing a wave of charm and allure. Now’s your moment to glow—literally. You’re about to become a walking magnet for compliments, attention, and the sweet things that come with Venus in your sign. She’ll stay here for an extended time, and while this is a rare treat, it’s not without nuance. Venus will be retrograding in early March, which might bring a little relationship déjà vu. For those born between March 14th and 20th, you’ll feel this retrograde more personally, as it stirs up old themes in love and self-worth.

And let’s talk about Saturn’s exit from Pisces at the end of May—it’s a refreshing shift! This change will offer you a much-needed breather, bringing a lighter energy for a few months. After feeling the weight of Saturn’s influence since March 7, 2023, this moment marks an opportunity to recharge and step into a period of relief and rejuvenation. Take full advantage of this time to restore your energy before the next phase begins.

Back to January—things are shifting fast with Venus in your 1st house, and you’re being asked to dive deep into your connections with others. This is the time to get clear about what you want in your personal life and where you want to go. Whether you’re getting compliments or feeling more loved, this is just the beginning.
